Al Marjan is a man-made archipelago in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, just north of Dubai. Since the completion of the island in 2013, it has evolved into a burgeoning luxury tourist and residential destination.

Hotels currently on the island include Address Marjan Island, JW Marriott Al Marjan Island, Hampton by Hilton Marjan Island, Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island and Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island, all boasting views of the Arabian Gulf.

Other large developments are underway, with the UAE’s first casino resort currently under construction on the island. Coming from the gaming capital itself, Wynn Al Marjan is set to open in 2027 and willfeature 1,530 rooms, suites and villas, spanning over 60 hectares. It will feature 24 dining venues, a five-star spa, designer boutiques, 12 pools with cabanas and a private marina, not to mention the highly anticipated casino.

As the UAE is a strict Muslim country where gaming is forbidden, the laws are changing to allow the resort to open. In October 2024, Wynn Al Marjan received the UAE’s first casino licence from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). Later that same month, the government awarded its first licence to enable Aristocrat to supply electronic gaming machines.

The project is being managed by Christie’s International Real Estate Ras Al Khaimah.
